Hi! I teach personal, one-on-one trumpet lessons. Lessons are held weekly for 30-minutes each in my home studio. A month’s worth of lessons (4 or 5 weeks) is $100 per student. Payment is required at the first lesson of the month. A twenty-four-hour notice is required for an absence to be excused. However, make-up lessons may be arranged. Unexcused absences will not be reimbursed nor made up. To inquire about availability, please fill out the form below.
Background Info:
Aaron Jameson began playing trumpet in fifth grade band in WA state. He excelled in concert band, marching band, and jazz band, performing in Solo/Ensemble competitions and playing at funerals and weddings.
Then, his love of trumpet playing grew in college, where he received a Bachelor of Music in Church Music with an emphasis in trumpet performance (BMCM, Oklahoma Baptist University, 2006).
He went on to earn a Master of Music in trumpet performance from the University of Minnesota (MM, 2008), studying under David Baldwin and Gary Bordner. He also proceeded to teach private trumpet lessons for four years in Minneapolis, MN, before moving to Des Moines, Iowa in 2013. He has recorded and played with local groups NOLA (a New Orlean-syle jazz band that performs monthly at the Des Moines Social Club) and Maids. He now lives with his wife and three daughters in West Des Moines.
One of My Favorite Quotes:
“You never enjoy the world aright, till the Sea itself floweth in your veins, till you are clothed with the heavens, and crowned with the stars: and perceive yourself to be the sole heir of the whole world, and more than so, because men are in it who are every one sole heirs as well as you. Till you can sing and rejoice and delight in God, as misers do in gold, and Kings in sceptres, you never enjoy the world." (Thomas Traherne, 1636-1674)
